IR29 i
IR29 i transmitter: intrinsically safe infrared combustible gas detector (no display)
Intrinsically safe Ex ia IIC T4 Ga NDIR transmitter for combustible gases and vapors 0-100% LEL, without a local display.
Description
About IR29 i
IR29 i is a combustible gas transmitter using non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) technology with a GfG-patented 4-beam 4-wavelength design. The 'i' designation indicates intrinsic safety protection to ATEX II 1G Ex ia IIC T4 Ga, which allows installation in Ex zone 0 hazardous areas. The IR29 i version has no local LCD; if the measured value needs to be shown at the unit, choose the IR29 Di. The 4-20 mA output signal is wired through the SB1 safety barrier to the GMA control panel.
Key features
- 4-beam 4-wavelength NDIR principle with a gold-plated measuring chamber, selective measurement of combustible gases without the need for oxygen
- ATEX II 1G Ex ia IIC T4 Ga certification, usable in Ex zone 0 hazardous areas
- V4A stainless steel and polycarbonate housing, IP67 protection rating
- Sensor head can be removed and fitted inside Ex zone 0 without disconnecting power
- Analog 4-20 mA output signal, wired through the SB1 safety barrier or a Zener barrier
- Not poisoned by silicone, sulfide or tetraethyl lead, unlike traditional catalytic sensors
